I never quite hit it off with teachers when I was at school.
They always think they’re above the rest of us – and then they come out with wisdom like this…
Children need to improve – The three ‘R’s
What they actually mean is this:
Writing
Arithmetic
Reading
If I needed to group these subjects into a quickly recognisable phrase my small brain would call it ‘WAR’ but due to the fact that they (along with any politician that uses the same irritating acronym)
can’t spell we’re stuck with three rotten ‘R’s
The amazing thing is they’re permanently barking on about how spelling is so poor and then in the same sentence imply that Arithmetic and Writing must begin with the letter R…
